Facile.it announces its new CEO, Chairman and General Manager
Facile.it (www.facile.it), the leading Italian price comparison site for insurance, mortgages, loans, bank accounts, energy and broadband, today announces the appointment of Tobias Stuber as CEO. Current CEO, Mauro Giacobbe, will take on the position as Chairman of the board and Diego Palano will be appointed General Manager. Both Giacobbe’s and Stuber’s roles will be effective as of April 1st 2021, Palano’s as of January 1st 2021.
Giacobbe joined Facile.it in 2009 and was essential to the launch of the loans business unit and later went on to lead the Spanish platform Seguros.es for two years. In 2014 Giacobbe was appointed CEO of Facile.it and under his tenure Facile.it quadrupled its revenues, growing from approximately 30 million euro in 2013 to 120 million euro in 2020. Today, Facile.it employs more than 3,000 people including employees and contractors.
Facile.it has appointed Tobias Stuber as new CEO to succeed Mauro Giacobbe, who will remain active within the organization as Chairman of the board. Stuber started his career at the management consulting firm Bain & Company where he spent seven years. In 2013, he joined CHECK24, Germany's largest price comparison website where he was Managing Director and led the company’s car insurance comparison business.

Palano, whose new role will be effective from January 1st 2021, joined Facile.it in 2017 as Managing Director Insurance, since then leading the company’s largest vertical. Having graduated from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, after a consultant experience with Boston Consulting Group, he was founder and CEO of Westwing.it (formerly Dalani.it). He will now take the full responsibility of all the Facile.it’s vertical business units, physical networks and call centres.
